The VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as a junior beauty therapist. Designed for learners aged 16 or over, it covers all the skills and knowledge required for the role, so you leave ready to gain employment as a junior beauty therapist. Entry can be via previous attainment of a Level 1 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview. Mandatory units cover facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, manicure, pedicure, client care and health and safety. You will also select optional specialist units — from tanning and make-up application to threading or sugaring, eyelash perming, ear piercing, nail art, reception duties and retail display — giving you the flexibility to shape the knowledge and skills you need to become a junior beauty therapist.
