About this course
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage is a vocational qualification aimed at learners aged 16 or over who want to study on a flexible basis. There are no formal entry requirements, although learners will typically hold associated Level 2 or 3 qualifications in similar or complementary subjects. The qualification prepares you to enter the hairdressing, beauty and complementary therapy sector as a specialist massage therapist providing Indian head massage treatments. Four mandatory units cover the practical and theoretical knowledge to provide Indian head services and to monitor and maintain health and safety in the salon; two further units build the wider skills of client care and communication and of promoting and selling products and services. This route lets you gather evidence in a realistic working environment without the need for real paying clients, preparing you to work in a complementary therapy clinic, beauty or hair salon, day or destination spa, or independent, mobile and home-based settings.
